pressed Wood
Durable and natural
Respecting the beauty and quality of the natural wood used as the base raw materia.
We create a stronger and more practical material for everyday use.
Characteristics
This material is manufactured from hardwood veneers impregnated with thermosetting resins. The resin is polymerized at 140°C, giving the finished material excellent heat resistance and increased density. As a result, our compressed wood, also known as Pakawood, withstands temperatures above 70°C and is certified as suitable for food contact.
Composition
65–70% wood and 35–30% thermosetting resin.
Specific weight: 1.25–1.35 g/cm³.
Thicknesses: from 6 mm to 45 mm.
Certified
Our compressed woods have been tested and certified by AIDIMME for the following technical aspects:
FOOD CONTACT CERTIFICATION
Complies with UNE-EN 10/2011 and its amendments 2016/1416 and 2017/752.
